Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global surgery focuses on improving access to safe, affordable, and timely surgical care for people worldwide, especially in low-and middle-income countries. Over the past decade, innovations in this field have transformed how surgical services are delivered, trained, and managed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


In surgical care, innovations such as minimally invasive surgery<\/strong>, advanced imaging technologies, and robotic-assisted procedures (in high-income countries) have improved surgical precision, reduced complications, shortened hospital stays, and enhanced patient recovery. Portable and low-cost surgical equipment has also expanded access to essential surgery in underserved and rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
